Vicky adapted and directed Happiness for Beginners premiering on Netflix in July 2023. The film was in the Global Top 10 (in over 90 countries) for more than 3 weeks. The film stars Ellie Kemper, Luke Grimes, Nico Santos, and Blythe Danner. Her feature, The Lost Husband, starring Leslie Bibb, Josh Duhamel, Nora Dunn, and Isiah Whitlock Jr. premiered on Netflix in August 2020 and went to #1 for over a week above all films and series. It remained a Top 10 title for an additional 3 weeks. It was one of the top 20 most popular titles on VOD and digital platforms for months.

Vicky wrote and produced the feature Boy Genius, starring Miles Brown, Rita Wilson, Skylan Brooks, Tracie Thoms, and Nora Dunn. It won its category at multiple film festivals and the script was a finalist in Tribeca’s Untold Stories Program. It was released in theaters and on demand in September 2019. Vicky’s directorial debut, The Volunteer, won Best Narrative Feature at the 2013 Urbanworld Film Festival in New York and featured Aunjanue Ellis, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Scott Wolf, Hill Harper, and Mary Beth Hurt.

Her debut short, Coffee, was an official selection at SXSW and she was a co-producer of the documentary APACHE 8, airing on PBS. Her recent short, a live action and animated mash-up titled For Keeps, is on the festival circuit and she is currently working on sound design for her latest short, Only the Trees. Vicky spent her early career working with filmmakers. She was the Vice President of Artistic License Films, a film distribution company where she oversaw marketing and distribution. Vicky has also been a consultant for various distributors including IFC Films.
